On January 28, 2024, the Fourth Meeting of the Seventh Session of the Shenzhen Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was opened in Shenzhen Hall. Our Executive Dean Long Wu Jian attended as the representative of Shenzhen CPPCC members.

Long Wujian mainly focuses on the expansion of the application of artificial intelligence equipment scenes in Shenzhen City to put forward suggestions. First, we should attach great importance to the promotion of artificial intelligence robots, and promote the application of artificial intelligence robots to the ground at a high level. Secondly, we should increase the financial investment in science and technology innovation of the municipal financial sector, and strengthen the support for basic research, technology development and promotion and application of artificial intelligence.

In subgroup discussion session, Long Wujian pointed out that science and technology innovation has always been the inexhaustible power of Shenzhen's high-quality development. The important carrier of science and technology innovation is the laboratory, in which the national key laboratory represents the country's top level of science and technology in the relevant fields. Shenzhen focuses on the construction of international science and technology innovation center in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area, and builds a laboratory system led by Pengcheng Laboratory and supported by national key laboratories, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao joint laboratories, provincial and municipal laboratories. In the future, the national organized scientific research activities and large project declarations will rely on such platforms as the national key laboratories. Shenzhen needs more policy support and more sufficient resources including personnel, funds and venues in the construction and investment of national key laboratories.
